A responsible stay in Vannes: Green Key label, CSR and sustainable tourism

Our hotel is committed to respecting the environment

Our philosophy for the protection of the planet is a philosophy to which the entire team of the Best Western Plus Vannes Centre-Ville hotel adheres and that is why we are committed to constantly and sustainably improving the environmental quality of our services.

To meet our objective of offering solutions for a more sustainable world, we have chosen to be labeled Green Key.

Our Best Western Vannes Centre-Ville hotel has been awarded the Green Key label for several years, and we must meet a certain number of strict criteria as well as specifications common to all European Union countries.

Do you know the Green Key label?

The first national and international environmental label, the Green Key network includes nearly 2,300 establishments on 5 continents, including more than 600 award winners in all regions of France.

It is a voluntary label awarded to tourist accommodations (campsites, hotels, cottages, guest houses, tourist residences) and restaurants. The labeling criteria are defined at the international level by the international coordination Green Key.

It aims to support the implementation of an efficient, continuous and dynamic environmental management. This implementation must be justified to an independent jury composed of environmental and tourism experts as well as professionals from the sector.

Their authority in the field of sustainable tourism represents a strong guarantee of confidence for professionals involved in the Green Key approach and for responsible vacationers, like our eco-responsible hotel in Brittany.

Staying in our hotel in Vannes, is to be sure to spend a responsible stay. The members of our team promote renewable energy sources, good water and waste management, as well as staff awareness of the local environment.

During your professional meetings, be sure to participate in a responsible seminar, respectful of the environment.

Our hotel Best Western Vannes Centre-Ville is committed to fight against food waste

Committed to ecology, we put in place all the necessary means to allow the preservation of the environment.

In a will to fight against food waste, our hotel-restaurant collaborates with Too Good To Go. The concept of the application is to contribute as much as possible to the creation of a global movement to fight against food waste. Tons of food are lost every day, all along the food chain, from the field to the plate. Our goal is to avoid all this waste.

Our hotel Best Western Plus Vannes Centre-Ville and its restaurant Côté Patio, by joining the community of TooGoodToGo, which fights against food waste, gives the opportunity to everyone to engage in this approach.

Do you know how this platform works ?

The principle of Too Good To Go is based on a surprise basket, composed of the unsold products of the day of the restaurant Côté Patio in Vannes. These unsold products are the fresh products of the day that we can no longer sell for the next day: pastries, dishes of the day...

In this approach, everyone benefits: the consumer, who gets a gourmet basket at a very low price; the shopkeepers, who earn a few euros on products that they cannot sell the next day; and the planet, because we limit the waste of its resources.

Carefully prepared, your anti-waste baskets can be picked up at our hotel in Morbihan, via the Too Good To Go application.

Our green key label and our contribution to TooGoodToGo prove our commitment to the environment and the preservation of our planet.

Let's go towards a responsible approach!

Sustainable tourism in Brittany thanks to smart displays and eco-challenges

Tourisme Bretagne has recently launched its eco-gesture kits. We obviously wanted to be part of it!

You will soon find in the hotel some elements of this initiative: posters that highlight sustainable tourism, stickers that encourage you to consume less water or electricity, a list of eco-challenges to achieve with your family during your stay, but also suggestions for trips to make by bike or on foot during your stay in Vannes.

What a way to share our values with our customers and to challenge them for the planet!

So, do you want to take up some eco challenges?
