In order to highlight the cultural and nautical wealth of the Gulf, the Morbihan department had the original idea to create this event centered around the world of sailing. The first edition took place in 2001 and the event continues to attract more people every two years. The 12th edition of the Semaine du Golfe takes place this year!
Many French and foreign sailboats meet to sail in this so particular environment of the "Little Sea" (Mor Bihan in Breton);
Every day, more than a thousand traditional and classic boats divided into coherent and identifiable flotillas, sail. Each day, each flotilla follows its own navigation program and stops every evening in a different port. The port of Vannes is one of the 17 member ports.
Don't miss the opening parade of the Semaine du Golfe which will take place on Monday, May 15th where all the boats present will join the Tall Ships flotilla off Méaban.
